The company’s CEO Elon Musk has previously teased a next-generation Tesla car with a more affordable $25,000 price point. He mentioned the price target in a 2018 interview with YouTuber Marques Brownlee

Right... expect to see these $25k cars on the market right after the first Hyperloop is finished and the first Mars colony is established

It will say it has 300mi of range, actually have 200, be 49K at launch with the 200 mi (100 actual) 29K version promised for 2027

Promised for 2027 but probably 2029

I highly doubt it will be under 30k. I'm guessing Musk will say due to inflation, but we'll see. An under 30,000 EV that isn't garage would be a pretty big game changer assuming it will have an actual real world mileage over 215 miles

BYD has one now at that price range in Brazil, with roughly that mileage estimate to boot.

Musk is going to have to compete in the 30k range because other vendors already are.

Tesla competes pretty poorly, tbh

Ummm...

Does any sane person believe the crazy guy from formerly-known-as-Twitter anymore? An EV under $20k?

I want a pony, think if I made a public announcement to that effect one would magically appear?

Then why does anyone think Daddies Racist Little Emerald can do that with cars?

Answer is no

Hmm, would Musk lie about this like everything else? Unthinkable!
