Backup Lemmy account (lemmy.dbzer0.com)

This is kind of a question and conformation. Is there a way to backup a lemmy account from one instance and in case some thing happens, restore that user in another (with all the posts, likes, etc) ? I read that they were working on cross instance accounts , but is there a workaround meanwhile? Do we know the status of this implementation?

Yeah, I get that. I treated my reddit account like that. My reddit account was 15 years old and you can do some sleuthing and doxxing and track down my real name if you're persistent enough. Nowadays I value privacy a bit more, so I just save important stuff to my second brain (these days it's in Obsidian.md, but I'm not married to a specific app).
