If wasting the end pieces of sliced bread upsets you, I've got some devastating news...

[-] miss_brainfart@lemmy.ml 28 points 10 months ago

Wasting anything that's still safe to eat should upset you

Noted. Can you offer me any advice regarding this milk I just spilled?

[-] dom@lemmy.ca 21 points 10 months ago

Ah dude. I'm sorry. That's devastating. It's ok to cry. Anyone would

[-] FiniteLooper@lemm.ee 2 points 10 months ago

There is only one rule about this event, and your suggestion is a violation of that rule

[-] dom@lemmy.ca 4 points 10 months ago

See this is the kind of generational trauma we need to stop.

Generations have been telling their children that their feelings on spilled milk are invalid.

[-] 1847953620@lemmy.world 1 points 10 months ago

what about spilled miak?

[-] rmuk@feddit.uk 1 points 10 months ago

It took you too long to reply. The milk curdled and went all rubbery in that time. Oh, you don't like that I'm ignoring your advice? Well, tough cheese.

[-] silas@programming.dev 1 points 10 months ago

Try spilling sweetened condensed milk next time, it takes longer to spoil

But those parts are the best parts

They've got so much more crust than the rest of the loaf

On a meta note, I just fell for your community link.

[-] silas@programming.dev 4 points 10 months ago

If it makes you feel better, I fell for my own community link

At least we know which side OP's bread is ~~buttered~~ stapled on.

[-] PrivateNoob@sopuli.xyz 11 points 10 months ago

Is it really a waste if it's a bread in the forest? I'm pretty sure there are atleast some animals which would definitely ate this.

[-] silas@programming.dev 2 points 10 months ago

Tell us you scour the forest for bread every night without telling us you do

[-] Rascabin@lemmy.ml 7 points 10 months ago
[-] rbesfe@lemmy.ca 6 points 10 months ago

Oh no, not 1 (one) slice of bread! Millions will starve!

[-] hdnsmbt@lemmy.world 5 points 10 months ago

Is it still 1 (one) slice of bread if it's a whole community of people sharing pics of how they wasted bread?

Is is still wasted if it's 1 (one) slice of bread?

🤔

[-] dom@lemmy.ca 5 points 10 months ago

Well, think of it this way. Since a monkey will be able to eat this, it'll mean one less gazelle eaten. So really this saves lives

[-] Disco_Dougie@lemmy.world 5 points 10 months ago

I don't know a whole lot about monkeys, but I'm pretty sure they don't eat gazelles.
