A "Showerthought" is a simple term used to describe the thoughts that pop into your head while you're doing everyday things like taking a shower, driving, or just daydreaming. The best ones are thoughts that many people can relate to and they find something funny or interesting in regular stuff.

I was playing worldle and globle today then happened to notice that both the Himalayas and the Iranian plateau are scrunched up masses about the same size. The Iranian plateau contains some of the oldest remaining geologic formations on Earth. That got me wondering if an ancient India type subcontinent also struck it hundreds of millions of years ago.
Looking at the Anatolian peninsula, it also looks pretty similar. Is this just the nature of geology in this latitude/region of the planet?
What's this?
